HOME SWEET HOME
Finally back!! Its been really busy since I got back so I haven't really had time to get this blog down... First, I guess I have to say that I am not that angry with my dongsaeng anymore.... I guess I was just miffed at not being able to see you coz I was really looking forward to it... you'll just have to try and make your way back here soon =).
The Princeton trip was really good... :) but in the first few hours of arriving in Princeton I realized that...
PRINCETON IS FOR COWS AND OLD PEOPLE.
Seriously.
No, really.
I mean this place was like Ann Arbor but deader... the office was pretty much in the middle of nowhere on Route 518... next to a farm and a tractor I would pass everyday while driving to work... the only other landmark of note was a Burger King down the road! The office kicked ass though.. the pantry was chock-filled with all sorts of candy and food, and lunch was free! From fillet mignon to nacho's and cheese and wonton noodles, we had it all!! They also had an area with all sorts of oreo cheesecake and triple fudge donuts.... drool
Training was pretty intense, with exams and 5 minute breaks in between classes. Between the reverse convertibles and structured range accrual notes, I was pretty much a vegetable by the end of the day! Of course we also had good food for dinner, trying to expense the best restaurants in town every day after work... notables include the great honey wheat beer and burger at Triumph Brewery and the soft-shell crab at Blue Point Grill... We were also lucky enough to have Michiru with us coz she was our lil GPS system for getting to all the best malls in Princeton!
THE OFFICE PANTRYYY!!

NYC was as intimidating as I remember it... it was great seeing all the HKIS peeps, who incidentally still hang out with each other.... I really kind of expected everyone to have their own different friends and be doing their own thing but somehow I guess your highschool friends will always be your best friends... I also got to see Jenny, Steph and the UMich girls and even Teresa? Talk about random blast from the past!

So I was looking through my credit card bills when I got back and besides all the shopping I did, this is where all my money went to; meat platters at Yakitori Taisho, tempura soba at Sobaya, garlic fried rice at En, chicken skin and sake at Totto, salmon eggs benedict at French Roast, uni pasta at Basta Pasta, etc. A sad reminder that the food prices in NY are astronomical compared to HK, even though both of these cities are touted as two of the most expensive cities in the world to live in! =(
A few random photos I snapped while walking the streets of NY and at the new MOMA!
I'm thinking of a number from 1 to 100...

Upon getting backto HK, Gang came to visit from Singapore. We partied it up and shopped for a few days before she had to go back, leaving me so drained I could barely open my eyes at work the next week! Shirley also had her birthday at Finds, where she also surprised Hung by inviting all his friends as well.... too bad he was so trashed he didn't even notice! Then just a few days ago, Hyewon's transfer to NY got approved and she packed up and got on the midnight plane on Sunday. It ended up being me and a bunch of crying girls at the airport in a teary goodbye, and me with one less friend in HK. Bye Hyewon! We'll miss you! =(
